What is E-Waste?
E-waste is a term used for electronic devices that are unwanted, nonworking or obsolete, and have reached the end of their useful life. The rapid innovation of technology and the lowering cost have made e-waste a growing global concern. It is estimated that by 2020 there will be anywhere from 25-50 billion electronic devices connected to the internet. Every year over 50 million tons of old electronics are discarded. These old devices end up in landfills where they cause harmful materials such as lead, mercury, and cadmium to pollute the environment. Tech 4 Success aims to reduce the environmental impact of e-waste by providing a sustainable and environmentally friendly option for the disposal of your unwanted electronic devices.
How does Secure Data Destruction work?
Tech 4 Success's Secure Data Destruction service will ensure all sensitive data on your end of life storage media is destroyed. We understand the importance of destroying personally identifiable and sensitive information. We only use hard drive shredders that have been tested and approved by the National Security Administration (NSA) and Department of Defense (DoD). We can offer data destruction options based on your specific needs but recommend the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-88.
